- I actually disagree with this. Now, of course, I have a pretty hefty
- fairing, but still, I think wind noise is pretty darn significant with
- a helmet on (and I have an RF200, judged my Squid Monthly to be the
- quitest helmet on the market). After some touring, and noticing my
- ears ringing when trying to go to sleep in the silence of a campsite,
- I *always* use ear plugs at speed. In that case I'm pretty much
- deaf as a post anyway, so helmet vs. bareheaded really is a wash, as
- far as hearing is concerned.
