  25. Bullsh*t.  I've had two accidents on motorcycles.  Once I went off the 
  26. road, off an embankment, and into a mud puddle.  The other time I had
  27. a car turn into me (not in front of me - INTO me).  I didn't get so
  28. much as a bruise either time.  (I did have to hammer the footpeg back
  29. into shape the second time-motocross boots are great!).

  31. I know of lots and lots of motorcycle accidents where the rider wasn't
  32. injured.

  34. I've had to take a week off from work twice as a result of bicycle 
  35. accidents,  and had surgery once from a bicycle overuse injury, but 
  36. that doesn't seem to be as contriversial as a motorcycle.

  38. I liked the time when I went into work on crutches after a bicycle
  39. crash.  As I passed by my secretary's desk she asked what happened.
  40. "I fell off my bike"
  41. "You should get rid of your motorcycle-they're dangerous"
  42. "I was riding my bicycle"
  43. "You should have been wearing a helmet"
  44. "I was wearing a helmet - I hurt my leg!"
