- Which is why I try NEVER to watch close-up video (with surround-sound
- stereo and smello-vision) dentistry. Yuk! Even though it's gross (IMHO)
- I'm still planning to go to Dr D. Sade's House o' Power Tools this
- Wednesday. I just won't watch :-)
-
- My mantra for m/c riding is "pain hurts"; I use it to temper my
- decision-making process and weigh the risks and benefits of behavioral
- options as I ride my scoot. Motorcycles are vulnerable, sure, but in
- many respects I have more survival options on a bike than I do as a
- pedestrian. And I'm not giving up walking, either. (To be truthful, my
- other two mantras are "happy happy joy joy" and "watch it bozo--don't
- pull out!")
-
- Bottom line: If and when it's no fun any more, I'll quit riding. If
- the fear factor outweighs whatever drives you to ride (ahem),
- why _not_ hang it up? (Can Ed have your bike?)
-
- Geez, I must be tired today...so fatalistic...
