- As suggested by people on the net, I wrote to the College of Arms
- in London, inquiring about Lady Thatcher's arms. Here is the
- (prompt) reply I received:
-
- "I can confirm that Mrs Thatcher has been created a Peer for life by the
- name style and title of Baroness Thatcher, of Kesteven in the County of
- Lincolnshire and that she is customarily known as Lady Thatcher.
-
- I can confirm that Armorial Bearings for her are en train however as the
- Patent which is the granting instrument has not yet been issued I am not
- in a position to make any further statement in the matter.
-
- Yours sincerely,
- Conrad Swan
- Garter "
-
- The world awaits, breathless...
