- Hey, wait a minute!
-
- I LIKE poison Ivy, Poison Oak, Chollas, etc. Since when are we
- defining a plant's worth by how they affect our own comfort?
-
- P.I. & O have wonderful fall color, provide wildlife habitat & food,
- stabilize soil disturbed by people trying to grow comfortable plants
- like crown vetch and fine fescue, and they make sure that humans
- will avoid the area to some extent. Chollas, agaves, yuccas and so forth
- sure are painful if you bump into them, SO WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING.
- It ain't the plant's fault you're clumsy.
-
- My list of horrible plants would include english ivy, tall fescue, irish yew,
- (if pruned), and those boring white peonies you see everywhere back east.
-
- The rant is ended, go in peace. ;)
