- but not through the winter.

- My neighbor's hot pepper plants are from last year, made it through
- last winter, they are really big and bushy and loaded with peppers now.
- If I recall correctly, though, their pepper plants did die in the big
- freeze of '90.

- So, yes, some pepper plants will make it through "normal" Bay Area
- winters. I live near the Oakland/Berkeley/Emeryville border, about 1
- mile from the Bay, so definitely get that warming ocean-influence.
