- I have a GE stove/oven that doesn't seem to get hot enough. For
- example, last night I made a cake that was supposed to bake
- for 50 minutes at 350 degrees. It took about 25 minutes longer
- than that to get done. Likewise, pies that should be ready in
- 40 minutes take an hour or longer. Should I just get used to it?
- Or should I routinely turn the temperature up by, say, 25 degrees?
- Or should I actually get it fixed (professionally calibrated - is
- that the right term?)? What exactly would that involve? Is it
- expensive?
