- I have Santa Claus convinced that I need a saddle for Christmas! I've been
- taking lessons for almost a year now and plan to start leasing this summer

- pun intended) since I eventually intend to own my own horse. Hopefully
- this will lessen the financial shock to my husband (a.k.a. Santa).

- I am of the opinion that it is a BAD idea to "get the cart before the
- horse"---or in this case, the saddle. A saddle is the interface
- between you and the horse's back, and it has to fit both of you.
- Would you go buy a pair of hiking boots, then look for a boyfriend who
- didn't complain too much about wearing those boots? I think not. Put
- your saddle money into the bank, then after you have a horse, go buy a
- saddle that fits the horse.
