- As for Arabian Nights, I'm fairly sure it is an affilate of Al-Marah Arabians,
- INHO the very best Arabian breeder in the country. Al-Marah has the same
- bloodlines as my mare Quality and I am trying very hard to get one of their
- stallions leased by the stud farm in North Carolina so I can breed to him.
-
- If they said it was The Black Stallion, it quite likely was. The stallion
- in the movie was NOT played by a mare, but by a stallion named Cass Ole, with
- some assistance from a couple of other black stallions that were used as
- doubles for some scenes.
-
- All the horses at Al-Marah are domestic Arabians (as opposed to other blood
- lines such as Polish, Spanish, and Old and New Egyptian). I prefer domestic
- Arabians, they tend to be much more 'people horses' than any of the other
- bloodlines, except the Old Egyptians.....
