  12. NY Times today also reports that the USCG has "backtracked" Coyote's porbable
  13. drift track to find its probable position on Oct. 27th, when the EPIRB signal
  14. wsa picked up. Their initial search pattern was pretty far off. The boat's
  15. present location makes sense, given its probable drift and the last reported
  16. position on Oct. 21st ( the place where Plant contacted a passing freighter).
