- Well, yes. Unfortunately we have no general agreement as to what
- form our global actions should take. Some seem to think we should
- just give massive resources to undeveloped countries (a serious
- mistake in my opinion). Others that we should simply tell them how
- to manage their economies (an option *not* well received in the
- target countries). Of course there are a lot of options in between
- these extremes. Until we can get some sort of general agreement in
- this area I think we should do what we can (usually at the local
- level since that is where we actually have the ability to do
- something). Of course where we can help out in undeveloped countries
- we should do so (eg. help them find a way to survive without cutting
- down forests as fast as we are cutting them here).
