- This is exactly opposite my own experiences. My wife pays approximately
- $650 (US) per year for full coverage insurance for her 1989 Isuzu I-Mark RS.
- I pay $630/year for the same coverage for my 1990 VW Corrado. We are both
- the same age, and neither of us has any speeding tickets or collisions on our
- record. Before I bought my Corrado, I compared rates to other cars in the
- class (Nissan 240SX, Toyota MR2, etc.), and I found that the Corrado would be
- cheaper to insure. State Farm considers those other cars sports cars, and thus
- adds surcharges.
