  38. You can put shoulder belts on the rear in an early A2 without all that
  39. much trouble. On the C Pilar is a mounting point, you will have to take
  40. off the plastic trim to locate it, and then mark off its location
  41. on the plastic trim so you can drill the appropriate hole.

  43. Next get the front belt set from a wrecked Golf/Jetta/Etc. Mount the
  44. reel for the shoulder belt set where the reel for the rear seats
  45. are. Then mount the piece (I don't know what it is called) that normally
  46. goes on the "B Pillar" onto the "C Pillar". This is the same location
  47. which this piece is located on in the later Golfs. You then use the
  48. same belt clasps that originally came with your car. Voila...three
  49. point shoulder belts.
