  25.      Did YOU determine whether all of the above mentioned components were
  26. actually in need of replacement, or did the dealer/shop simply tell you
  27. that they needed to be replaced ? I find it hard to believe that all of those
  28. components failed so soon considering the exceptional care you have given it.
  29. I have a feeling that the dealer may be taking advantage of you, therby making
  30. a good car seem bad. I have an 87 Golf GT and a 90 Jetta GL that I drive
  31. VERY hard (regular shifts above 5000 rpm on Shell regular 87 octane gas - no
  32. injector cleaner, regular Pennzoil 10W30/Fram filter) and I have never had
  33. any unusual/unexpected problems. You might look into another shop when the
  34. warranty runs out or learn to fix it yourself. You might save yourself a pile
  35. of cash and enjoy the car even more.

  41. these cars can have.
