- I noticed when driving into work this morning (COLD!!!)
- that whilst the coolant temperature rises quite fast (if the gauge
- is to be trusted..) the oil takes ages to warm up...
-
- Is there a safe period that must elapse before you can drive
- the car 'hard' because of cold oil? I never take the car above
- 3000 rpm before the coolant gauge is in the right place (it tends
- to settle just right of the LED), but after that I tend to increase
- my speed :-)....
-
- For reference it's a 1982 1.6 GTi 110BHp (Europe)
