  12.     Sounds like the choke is not releasing. I would say that the choke
  13. is stuck in such a way that you are running at fast idle and also running
  14. very rich. Check that the choke is coming off when the engine is warm.
  15. If not you will have to find out what mechanism causes it to open normally.
  16. Most modern cars have an electric heater in the choke housing. Some older
  17. ones have a water heated choke and some even older pull warm air from the 
  18. intake manifold. Check that all the linkages are free and clean.
