- Sounds like the choke is not releasing. I would say that the choke
- is stuck in such a way that you are running at fast idle and also running
- very rich. Check that the choke is coming off when the engine is warm.
- If not you will have to find out what mechanism causes it to open normally.
- Most modern cars have an electric heater in the choke housing. Some older
- ones have a water heated choke and some even older pull warm air from the
- intake manifold. Check that all the linkages are free and clean.
