- I had a 76 camaro with a 327 ci engine and the way I found to adjust
- timing was to loosen the distributor just enough so if you grab it with
- both hands you could turn it. Then I would drive around and see if it
- would ping under diffrent conditions. if it didn't ping I would advance
- it a bit more by hand, if it was pining I would retard it a bit. I found
- that you can get it set in a few hours at most. and 12 degrees sounds
- like a good starting point, that is about where my 327 was set!
