  12. I am currently trying to do up a 1982 Peugeot 505sr 2 litre automatic
  13. and have run into a few problems.
  14. The advance/retard pipe on the distributor had worn away and so had
  15. the air pipe to the carb. These were replaced but the timing is still
  16. out. The distributor has to be adjusted to the left past the proper
  17. position in order to get the engine firing properly. 
  18. The timing chain is loose and rattles at low revs.
  19. The rev counter does not work all the time, only the odd time when you
  20. start the engine.
  21. The sunroof will not open. There is a grinding noise from the motor when
  22. I try to open it. The cable itself is not too worn and all the nuts are
  23. tight.
  24. The screws on the rear brake drum caps are seized and I can`t get them
  25. off.

  27. Any help in over coming these problems would be greatly appreciated.
