- The owner's manual for my '92 Dodge Grand Caravan claims that putting it
- in first and leaving it there will result in it always being in the lowest
- possible gear for a given vehicle speed. It will only upshift to prevent
- engine damage. (Of course, my 3.3L Mopar V6 is nothing like that Jag V12!
