- Changing to thinner oil in winter is recommended anywhere it gets cold,
- unless you run thinner oil year round. I never heard of a problem with it,
- except excessive oil consumption on older engines. Personally, I would
- rather have excessive oil consumption, than excessive engine wear during
- cold starts from thicker oil.
