  26. Admittedly, as a college student, I haven't been watching the latest season,
  27. but I think you're trashing one of the better shows on American television
  28. unfairly.  You need to remember two things:
  29.  
  30. 1.)  Quantum Leap is very deceiving; it will fool you by masquerading as a
  31. science fiction show.  *It is not sci-fi at all.*  It is, in fact, an
  32. anthology show, and a damn good one at that.  Similarly, the Twilight Zone
  33. was not truly science fiction in the space-opera tradition.  Both shows
  34. simply use(d) sci-fi premises to present their exploration of
  35. character/issues (Quantum Leap) and theme/philosophy (Twilight Zone).
  36.     QL and Dr. Who have only one thing in common: time travel.  They are
  37. completely different shows.

  39. 2.) And this is the kicker: QL is a lot better than anything else on
  40. American TV these days.  Really.
