- When I was in about 3rd grade my local PBS station was showing Who is
- episode format, right after all the educational programming they show
- in the summers. I had just been watching something about the lunar
- landing in 1969 when I saw the opening credits and heard the weird
- music, and saw "The Brain of Morbius" and figured I'd see what it was.
- It was in the middle of the story, which I didn't understand to begin
- with, but I watched it and was rather scared by parts of it. I don't
- think I watched it again that summer.
-
- Several years later, when I was a freshman in high school, a girl from
- Minnesota moved to my school district. She'd lived for a few years in
- the UK and was quite hooked on Who. We quickly becamse best friends
- and our parents quickly worried that we were too obsessed with this
- weird show from across the pond. We wrote stories, watched
- religiously, etc. etc.
-
- It was great fun. And still is.
