- Gosh, I guess I have been lucky then. I am currently middle class, but I
- grew up in a non middle class neighborhood, went to an inner city school
- (more grafitti than textbooks), had friends and relatives involved in
- drug and alchohol abuse and crime, and spent many a summer night out until
- midnight just messing around with the other kids in the neighborhood - and
- that was before I was 12. So there are some of us who come from a
- non-Steven Spielberg background. I believe you when you say that most
- Whovians are middle class, and in the US, that also seems to include a
- racial barrier. I have seen only a handful of people at Who-conventions
- who were not of European descent. Why? Very few role models on the show?
- Hard to say, but a rather interesting question nonetheless.
