- Nice idea. The only problem I have with this is conceptual, in that for the
- most part actors have been plucked from obscurity for the part of the Doctor,
- with a couple of notable exceptions, whereas for any discussion to be useful,
- well-known actors would be picked. I imagine the standard actor-pool for US
- viewers is significantly different than the pool the BBC would look at, and
- which UK posters would recognise.

- So saying, I think Tony Slattery deserves a shot at a straight part, but would
- probably be passed over because of (1) his lewd sense of humor and (2) he's
- Channel 4, and we couldn't have that on the BBC! ;-)
