- Watching Saturday Night Live last night, I was suddenly and unexpectedly
- exposed to a piece of my childhood. In the middle of the news, some guy
- I've never seen before doing a bit on "Election Coverage For Morons"
- started reciting the lyrics to the theme song from "Spider-Man":
-
- Spider-Man, Spider-Man
- Does whatever a spider can
- Spins a web, any size
- Catches thieves, just like flies
- Look out!
- Here comes the Spider-Man...
-
- Wow. It's been years since I thought about this show, but I distinctly
- remember loving it as a kid. If I remember right, it was kind of like BTAS
- in that it used a LOT of villains from the comics: I remember Doc Ock, the
- Rhino, the Lizard...memories...light the corners of my mind...
- Um, sorry. Anyway, this blast from the past leads me to wonder if anybody
- out there knows anything about this show: who made it, when it was on, and
- especially if there are any tapes available. Thanks!
-
- In the chill of night,
- At the scene of a crime
- Like a streak of light
- He arrives, just in time!
- Spider-Man, Spider-Man,
- Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man,
- To him, life is a great big hang-up
- Wherever there's a hang-up
- You'll find the Spider-Man!!!!
-
- Say...could these be more of the infamous Stan Lee lyrics???
