  13. The person who had to dance to death in red hot shoes was Snow White's
  14. stepmother, the evil queen, in the Grimm's version.  She had believed S.W.
  15. was dead, but when she asked her mirror The Question (you know), right before
  16. leaving for a wedding she was invited to, the mirror said the new bride was
  17. fairest.  The queen was furious, and she went to the wedding to see who this
  18. new threat to royal vanity was.  Knowing that she was coming, someone at
  19. the wedding (the dwarves?  I don't remember), had red-hot shoes waiting, and
  20. when the queen got there, they slipped the shoes on her, and she was forced
  21. to dance in them until she dropped dead.  Typical gruesome Grimm's ending,
  22. but arguably justified I suppose.  This is from my memory of the story as
  23. told in my Grimm Bros. collection.  Anyone who can add/improve this info
  24. is more than welcome and actively invited to do so.:-)
