- The problem is that you never adequately addressed the arguments. The
- simple fact is that unions *can* and currently *do* negotiate contracts
- for a very large number of people. The contracts they negotiate have
- salary and benefits that are better than equivalent non-union contracts
- in most cases. Even with the prospect of 'scab' labor, unions still
- wield considerable clout when negotiating and could easily include
- health and safety requirements in their contracts.
