  21. That is not true at all.  Ever since the first Maclean's survey, the 
  22. academic community (not just Carleton) criticised the survey for being 
  23. poorly designed.  For example, what does a reputation of the school 
  24. have to do with the quality of education?  Nothing.  Carleton is one 
  25. of the best in Canada in several areas.  As an example, nobody every 
  26. mentions our strong commerce program.  Carleton is the ONLY University 
  27. in Canada to send ALL of its teams to the ICBC finals in Kingston.  We 
  28. also do very well in those finals too.  And what does the entrance 
  29. requirements have to do with the quality of education?  Albert 
  30. Einstein was a high school drop-out, so by your logic he was an idiot.

  32. It is especially interesting that a few months after the Maclean's 
  33. survey was published, another survey was conducted on the quality of 
  34. graduates. This survey asked employers that, if given a choice, from 
  35. which university would they prefer to hire from.  Carleton ranked 
  36. number four in Canada.  That means despite Carleton's open door policy 
  37. (which those who don't understand often criticise), our grads are 
  38. among the best in Canada.....

  43. SFU?  I hope not because even though my message spelled "Carleton" for 
  44. you, you managed to still spell it incorrectly.  <g>
