- Actually, there *is* a kosher Chinese restaurant right around here -- in
- Brookline, to be specific. I can't quite remember the name (though I think
- "Rose's Kitchen" or somebody's kitchen at the very least rings a bell), but
- it's about a block or two or three north of Coolidge Corner on Harvard
- Street.
-
- I've been there exactly once, with very mixed results. The place looks like
- an odd combination of a Jewish deli and a Chinese restaurant... very informal,
- plastic plates and the like. The food varied widely; their version of General
- Gau's Chicken was good (a *great* garlic sauce), but we couldn't even tell
- what was in the fried wontons and didn't think we wanted to know.
