- Here are the words as I've been singing them (as sung
- on the Hallmark Lullaby tape). When my daughter was
- very new, two repetitions of the whole thing almost
- always put her to sleep:
-
- Lullaby, and good night
- In the sky stars are bright
- All around your tiny head
- Gentle moonbeams fill your bed
-
- Refrain:
- Close your eyes now and rest
- May these hours be blessed
- Go to sleep now and rest
- May these hours be blessed
-
- Lullaby, baby dear
- Your mother is here
- She will sing to your delight
- 'Til your sleepy eyes close tight
-
- REFRAIN
-
- Lullaby, little one
- Gone to sleep is the sun
- Stars are shining in the sky
- As the moon smiles from on high
-
- REFRAIN
-
-
- This tape also has some nice verses to
- Rock-a-bye Baby which are non-violent,
- but I didn't memorize them as Brahm's
- Lullabye was the only one that "did the
- trick" for Kayla.
