  12. Three years ago while on the pill I got strep throat. My doctor pres-
  13. cribed antibiotics. About a month later I got that old familiar feel-
  14. ing again. Lo and behold I was pregnant. When i went for my 1st pre-
  15. natal checkup I was concerned about the affects the pill would have
  16. on the baby. I asked the Doctor if antibiotics can counteract the pill.
  17. She said she had heard about it but I was the first person that the
  18. (the group of gyno's) had to met to claim this. A few nurses I have
  19. spoken to over the years have said they have often heard about this 
  20. happening. Well my 3 year old son is living proof that this can occur.
  21. Luckily the pill seemed to have no affect on him. I figure I continued
  22. taking the pill for about a month after the strep throat incident.
  23. Counting back from when he was born we figured conception to be during
  24. the week I was taking the anti's. My question is why don't gyno's
  25. caution a woman when she goes on the pill that this can happen? 
  26. Has anyone's doctor warned them of this???? Not that it matters to
  27. my husband and I anymore as we took the big " V " approach to 
  28. permanent birth control. I was just wondering if doctors were now
  29. talking about this yet and if not then this is most certainly a
  30. good place to talk about it as most of you all seem to be of child
  31. bearing years. Of course we were quite happy to have a boy as our
  32. first three kiddies are girls. He is the royal crown prince of the
  33. family and everyone spoils him most especially his sisters. But
  34. FOUR are plenty enough for us........
