- I have to put in a plug for my company -- Mentor Graphics has its own
- very high quality Child Development Center. Even if your child does not
- attend day care there, you can use the "Family Room" which is a large, carpeted
- room furnished like a living room with chairs, couches, and lots of windows.
- The door locks and there is a "Nursing Mother -- do not disturb sign" you can put up.
- Now that my daughter is in the program, I can use this room as a quiet
- room to nurse her in or take a nap. There are many refrigerators throughout
- each building, so storing the milk is no problem. In Kayla's class there are at
- least four of us that nurse our babies daily, either in the nursing room, in the
- classroom, or outside in one of the play yards. Each of us has a speed dial
- number on the infant room phone so that we can be called when our baby is hungry.
-
- My first visit to Mentor was to drop off my resume, and I had my 6 week-old
- daughter along. I stopped in for a tour of the child development center and
- was VERY impressed. I asked if I could nurse my daughter in the lobby, and
- was invited to use the nursing room. From that point on, I knew that Mentor
- was the place I wanted to work.
-
- If anyone is interested in more information about what makes Mentor's child care
- program unique, let me know.
