  14. a lot of companies do not allow you to participate in their 401K program
  15. until, usually, you work a full year or the january of the following year
  16.  
  17. my question is:  are you allowed to put the full $2K into an IRA
  18. in that time frame and  situation? (while you haven't been with the company to
  19. qualify for the 401K?)
