- Has anyone looked into this fund, or is there a way we can get a
- prospectus (since it was an IPO)? Does anyone have any informed
- opinions on this fund?
-
- I think that the Israeli economy would get a tremendous boost
- if the Arab economic boycott were lifted, either de jure or
- de facto. (This is possible if the peace talks can progress
- much further.) This would open up a lot of markets for Israeli
- goods and would allow them to get some imports from much closer.
- Of course, the boycott may not end, and maybe war would break out
- (very unlikely for at least 5+ years, IMO, and probably much longer).
- Or the socialistic Labor government could be a drag on any
- opportunities that did open up. Or maybe the ISL fund
- could somehow fail to benefit from sectors that were helped
- by an end to the boycott. Still, this to me would seem
- like something to consider for part of one's international
- portfolio.
-
- BTW, I have not religious or political motives for investing
- in Israel, I just see a possibility of a booming economy.
