- Is it true that historically when price of a given stock falls
- dramatically (lets say more than 50%) during a given year that the price is
- likely to fall during December due to selling for tax benefits?
-
- Is this more apparent in stocks that are expected to rise again? (since
- those who are holding the stock kept it in anticipation that it will rise
- but now that it is the end of the year they will cash in the loss and
- reinvest later.)
-
- No speculations please. I am thinking about historical facts.
