- My understanding is that a stop loss order at $5.00 only acts as an
- order to offer the stock for sale if it gets to that level; it is not a
- guarantee that you will get $5.00 for the stock. If there are no buyers at
- that price the stock could end up being sold for less; perhaps for considerably
- less.
