- First-off, incline press, in addition to hitting your pecs in a different
- way from flat bench, also uses your delts --- maybe you are "disappointed"
- with your incline because your delts are weak. But secondly, I know
- of no one whose max on incline press equals their max on flat bench,
- probably because incline uses more delt than flat. [Can anyone on
- the net?] So don't get so disappointed so quickly.
-
- Secondly, if you want to increase your incline press, I would change
- your routine so you do it first, when you are fresh, and then
- move to flat bench. I did this about a year ago, and am pleased
- with the results. Of course, you won't be able to do as much
- on the flat bench as you used to when you did it first, but just live
- with it --- don't worry about how you look or what other people think
- of the weight you are doing in the gym.
