Melanie, I happen to read your message on KidNet and I wanted you to know I am trying Cooperative learning in heterogeneous classes in language arts eighth grade classes. So far so good Studying for tests is one great area the kids love. I give them their own grade and then average their grade with their group's grade. We have a BBS set up in my classroom. We would love to hear from some one after 5:00 PM 401-245-4610. good luck
