Tahnks for your research .. I wondered whether there was a WW 2 or WW 1 connection to the name ... Nice to know that the efforts of the "bronzed diggers" are commemorated overseas as well as in their home countries.  In know there are places in france who hold thye Australians dearly , afeter all this time too.
