  23. Ghostscript uses the TEMP environment variable to find the directory
  24. where it will put its scratch files.  Ghostscript assumes that this
  25. variable, if defined, is the name of a real directory, e.g.
  26.     C:\TEMP
  27. without a trailing \; Ghostscript always concatenates a \ on the end.
  28. It never occurred to me that someone might want to use the root
  29. directory as their temporary directory, but I agree it is not
  30. unreasonable, so this is a bug.  Meanwhile, to work around the
  31. problem, you can set TEMP to the name of some other directory.
