- Unix represents a bunch of different operating systems which are not binary
- compatible with each other. However, VMS is a single operating system, and all
- machines which run it are binary compatible with each other.
-
- Why distribute Emacs for VMS as source code, with patches. It seems to make
- more sense to distribute the executable.
-
- Is there any way to get the executable for Emacs incorporating these patches
- that have been recently advertised, either through FTP or DECnet copy?
