  14. Unix represents a bunch of different operating systems which are not binary
  15. compatible with each other.  However, VMS is a single operating system, and all
  16. machines which run it are binary compatible with each other.

  18. Why distribute Emacs for VMS as source code, with patches.  It seems to make
  19. more sense to distribute the executable.
  20.  
  21. Is there any way to get the executable for Emacs incorporating these patches
  22. that have been recently advertised, either through FTP or DECnet copy?
