  12. For a useful text on Japanese names (personal, place and otherwise) I would
  13. recommend PG O'Neill's Japanses names, published by Weatherhill. I used it when
  14. I was working in a board of education in Japan and I was never stumped. The
  15. only problem is that some first names have two or more readings, all eqully
  16. valid. If you have a way and the money, plus a penchant for electronic stuff,
  17. they have a lot of electronic address books in Japan that you can input what
  18. you think is the correct reading and see if you were right. I don't know about
  19. the new wordtank having a proper name list, but i heard that they wanted to add
  20. a card with that info on it.
