  12. There is a Chinese reference work which seems to be quit exhaustiv:
  13.   Riben Xingming Cidian (Lexicon of Japanese Surnames and Names)
  14.   Commersial Press, Shanghai, 1982 (by Shi Jun)
  15. This 1600 pages book contains 70.000 Surnames and 40.000 Names; it
  16. is arranged according the Kanji (first stroke number then bushoo)
  17. Each entry hase kanji --- hiragana --- romaji.
  18. It was not very expensive RMB 6.- which is roughly US$ 1.- (but I am
  19. afraid, it is no more availabel; hopefully one might find it in some
  20. libraries).
