- the kernel. Hundreds, thousands of talented people all over the world
- contribute to Linux. Linux is a very interesting project, considering it only
- started around April, 1991.

- Without GNU, there may not be Linux. The greatest unix replacement
- stuff from GNU is used by Linux as default, from C compiler to `cp'. The
- Linux C library, which I am responsible for, borrows heaviy from the GNU C
- library and libg++.a. I view Linux as a project with GNU spirit. The Linux
- kernel may be the last missing part of a complete (may not be the best)
- GNU OS. FYI, the FSF is planning to distribute Linux.
