  10. I have an RS/6000 Model 320 running AIX 3.2. There's only four full-time users
  11. on the systems. Until the other day, I had 16MB memory with 48MB page space (I
  12. originally had 32MB page space, but the VMM would occassionally reach out and
  13. kill a process when page space utilization was high!). 16MB of memory is
  14. obviously not enough -- From what I understand now, IBM recommends 16MB as
  15. the minimum. I upgraded to 48MB of memory the other day. When I turned the
  16. system on, I used svmon to check memory and page space use -- All but 5MB of
  17. memory was being used and over 30MB of page space was being used!

  19. Does the system allocate as much memory as it can grab? What kind of memory
  20. requirements should I expect in a production environment with say, 25 users?
