  13. I am in the process of installing (or rather, reinstalling) UNIX TeX 
  14. on a replacement for the applications disk that died on my Sun more 
  15. than a month ago.  But there is one matter the internal READMEs and 
  16. installation notes do not adequately address, IMO, and I suspect more 
  17. than one of you can be of assistance.

  19. Unfortunately for me, I last fought my way through this 4 years ago, 
  20. and the fiddlin' details have leaked out of the infamous RotenMemory 
  21. (tm).

  23. Once the cmfonts are unpacked ( cat cmfonts.tar.Z.* | zcat | tar xf - ), 
  24. where do I _put_ the subdirectories pk118/, pk300/, and tfm/ ?  Not to 
  25. mention gf/ ?  When I 'mv' them to the TEXFONTS directory, TeX does not 
  26. seem to see them ?
