  13. In the TeXbook, Knuth explains how to make long rightrarrows, hook right 
  14. arrows, etc. In Exercise 18.46, he shows how to make some commutative diagrams.
  15. However, it is not clear how to adapt what he does to making diagonal
  16. hookarrows and long diagonal hookarrows or long nearrows, for that matter.

  20. I work exclusively with Plain TeX and that is where I want to accomplish this.
  21. More generally, I would be interested in any techniques for making complicated
  22. commutative diagrams in Plain TeX. I am already aware of how to use packages
  23. that do this in LateX. I want to do it in Plain TeX.
