  11. I have a problem with QIC-150/24 tapes
  12.  
  13. The tapes I have are Sony QD-6150 150MB tapes. The tapes were written
  14. on a WangTek QIC-150 driver a few months ago. Last week, I copied
  15. some files from another site with a QIC-24 driver on these tapes.
  16. When I tried again to write the tapes on QIC-150 driver, the driver
  17. kept saying that "write: I/O error":

  20. Wangtek QIC-150 tape drive:
  21.    sense key(0x5)= illegal request   residual= 1   retries= 0
  22.    file no= 0   block no= 0
  23.  
  24. I guess that the tape driver thought the tape is a QIC-24 tape and
  25. cannot be written.

  27. Is there any way I can make the tape to be 150MB tapes again?
