- So far I've heard everything from debate in this newsgroup to SunFlash
- anouncements to citings in product announcements. When you work on our
- kind of timelines (spend it now or lose it, not very unusual in Fortune
- 500 companies) you have to go by what the vendor says and whatever
- catalogs they can provide you at that time. For the SPARC 10, we had
- the May 1992 catalog which makes NO mention of 10 Base T but does make
- an obscure one line reference to an AUI Adapter Cable that plugs into
- the Audio port. The sales rep knew nothing of this at the time.

-
- As do I. A very good move on Sun's part. Once again, the whole point
- to this story is, Sun could have done a better job of informing both
- the customers and their sales reps--not leave it to newsgroups and
- obscure references.
