  14. Okay, I'm sure many of you have had this type of problem before...
  15.
  16. You know, where you have two vendors pointing at each other and
  17. saying "It's not *our* problem !!  They're equipment is at fault."
  18.
  19. Here's the scenario:
  20.
  21.     Sun SPARCstation-1+
  22.     Internal 105 MB SCSI drive (Sun supplied)
  23.     Two WREN SCSI drives in a Parity cabinet.
  24.     Sun CDROM
  25.
  26. We've been having problems getting 4.1.2 to install successfully on the
  27. various drives (yes, we've tried more than one).
  28.
  29. Sun says it's the Parity box, and Parity says that
  30.
  31.     Sun's SCSI is non-standard and that it'll only
  32.     handle very short SCSI cable lengths. Preferably
  33.     less than 8 feet total.
  34.
  35. Any comments on that statement ?  I, personally, think that
  36. Parity is feeding us a line but I can't be certain of that.
  37.
  38.
  39.
  40. Please respond by e-mail as I don't regularly follow this group...
  41.
  42. Thanks,
  43.
  44.     Randy
