- Okay, I'm sure many of you have had this type of problem before...

- You know, where you have two vendors pointing at each other and
- saying "It's not *our* problem !! They're equipment is at fault."

- Here's the scenario:

- Sun SPARCstation-1+
- Internal 105 MB SCSI drive (Sun supplied)
- Two WREN SCSI drives in a Parity cabinet.
- Sun CDROM

- We've been having problems getting 4.1.2 to install successfully on the
- various drives (yes, we've tried more than one).

- Sun says it's the Parity box, and Parity says that

- Sun's SCSI is non-standard and that it'll only
- handle very short SCSI cable lengths. Preferably
- less than 8 feet total.

- Any comments on that statement ? I, personally, think that
- Parity is feeding us a line but I can't be certain of that.
